The EPT 5 Week Board and Train offers intense training for dogs displaying more severe behavioral issues regardless of breed and age. Behavioral issues simply can be translated to resource guarding, aggression towards other dogs or humans, anxiety or nervousness and fear-based behavior.
Canines, like humans, might be displaying bad habits that just have not been consistently addressed and now are defined as behavioral issues. In our 5 Week Board & Train, we submerse your pup into 24-hour training where repetition is one of our learning tools. The 5-week program enables our trainers to train, observe, modify if needed and repeat training without interruption.
During the 5 weeks, we will also take your dog off-site to parks and public areas simulating life outside of our controlled environment at the ranch. During our evaluation, we will learn your goals and how you would like to integrate your dog into your lifestyle. Coffee shops, trail running, hikes, beach walks, dog parks, shopping, we will do our best to integrate our training into these environments for maximum training benefit.
Overnight boarding gives us the opportunity to train sleeping etiquette for dogs to master over the 5 weeks. Whether there are issues whining or barking at bedtime or crate training towards the end of the program, we can address them.
Board and Train is the best option for the busy professionals relieving you from the responsibility of initial training but at the same time incorporating you during the 5 weeks with training sessions. Included in our 5 Week Board & Train are three training sessions with you and your dog. The first is at the end of week 4 when we reunite you and your pup. This is a time we introduce you to the tools and how to continue the training at home at the end of the program. You will have firsthand experience with your pup at this training session. The second session training is at pick up.The final session is a week following pick up to work out any issues you've encountered that week. Our goal is to set you up with the tools to succeed.
While your pup is with us:
- One-On-One training throughout each day working on the three basic commands and pager training.
- Ranch life with trail walks with the pack, exposure to ranch animals and acres to exercise
- Pool time, weather permitting
- Socialization with dogs and people multiple times a day
