All sessions are one-on-one with one of our trainers. For best results, we set them up on a weekly basis or otherwise prescribed. After each session, there is a continuation of training at home as clients are provided homework to work on with their dogs. This will include all skills covered to date. Ultimately, our goal is for the dog to maintain skills learned and good behavior in high level distraction areas.
Sessions are 60 minutes.
Since March of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, dog adoptions have increased. Many dog owners have come to realize their strong suit is not dog training. We are here to help.
Questions Most Commonly Asked
Making sure your dog is properly trained is the responsibility of every dog owner. Not only does training ensure your dog's safety, but the owner's peace of mind. With training, you will experience the bond between you and your dog growing tighter almost immediately. The tighter your communication is with your dog the more things you're able to do and the happier life is.
Our trainers, lead by Head Trainer and Founder, Ricardo Rojas, practice balance training combining both positive reinforcement and corrective training. The ultimate goal is to create a calm and well-balanced dog. We do this by establishing clear communication, clear expectations and constant repetition.
One of the most commonly misunderstood dog training tools is the E-Collar or what some mistakenly call a "Shock Collar" or a "Zap Collar". An E-Collar is a remote collar training system that consists of a wireless remote the human carries and a wireless receiver the dog wears close to the neck. The stimulation is either vibration or similar to what we humans feel when using a TENS unit for therapy; it mimics a mothers nip. We introduce the ECollar or Pager Training after successful leash training is reached.
E-Collar training, what we call Pager Training, will give you and your dog clear communication or a language you both understand. The form of stimulation, whether a vibration or a nick, is used as a reminder not a correction This communication can be used for issues like barking, jumping on the couch, begging for food or recall and off-leash freedom. When used properly, it will not hurt your dog but enhance the dog's life and yours.
Our 60-minute evaluation gives you the opportunity to work with one of our trainers, share your struggles, concerns, and goals, and experience the ranch firsthand. You and the trainer will design a program that works best for you and your pup.
